Sick Bed Blues
Editor’s note: We’re honored to present a preview of Sick Bed Blues, a graphic novel by Bay Area artist Koak currently in progress. Below is a teaser of what will become a two-volume book set.
Like all of Koak’s previous work, this project originates from a real-life experience — a nightmarish trip to the hospital that was both traumatic and surreal. The title “Sick Bed Blues” is drawn from a song about illness and death written in the 1960s by blues musician Skip James.
