Not because it is shit, but because the unmitigated goofiness makes the world a weirder and hence richer place. The niches, the cul-de-sacs, the would-only-maybe-make-it-as-a-self-published-coffee-table-book boutique-ism, the just plain nuttiness; these are worth defending.
